Jalad Africa (Pty) Ltd, is the Southern Africa 2022 Regional Exporters award winner. It is an export-driven premium genuine leather goods manufacturing company founded by two Basotho native men through bootstrapping. It was established in 2017 out of great concern of high unemployment among the youth & young women in Lesotho which accounts for chronic poverty. At some time tapped into an existing opportunity to address a need for affordable stylish leather products for middle-earning professionals. Using products to promote the heritage of Lesotho by targeting tourists.

 

Trading with in-house high-value retail brand ZERI TM. Producing predominantly handbags, briefcases, backpacks, sleeves, toiletry bags, duffle bags, wallets, belts etc. ZERI TM had gained some strides beyond Lesotho; to the likes of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and beyond sub- Saharan Africa markets such as the USA, Canada, Ireland and China.
